nice direct boss and her boss was amazing

we sold a product that was being "built" but was never established. Therefore, I "sold the product" to executives that truly never came to life and did not exist. As I made SO many connections with "high-ups" in HUGE corporations/ got meetings bc I naturally build relationships. EXTREMELY EMBARRASING AS I GAINED THESE PEOPLES TRUST!!

The colleagues were friendly, helpful, and generally easy to work with. Most team members were supportive and the working relationship with peers was positive.

The biggest problem is the CEO. His management style is rude, aggressive, and extremely toxic. He often scolds people loudly, and his tone is so fiery and disrespectful that it affects the whole office atmosphere. Working under him feels stressful, unstable, and unhealthy. His expectations also change too fast. I passed probation within one month, but after more than half a year, he suddenly said I was not suitable and asked me to leave. This shows how inconsistent and unreliable the management decision-making is. The company also seems to value “looking hardworking” more than actually being productive. There is a strong 996-style mindset where employees are expected to work overtime until late at night, as if staying until 10pm automatically means someone is a good worker. But in reality, some employees arrive late, take very long lunch breaks, and spend long hours at dinner after work. Staying late does not always mean working hard; sometimes it is just for show. Overall, the work environment became toxic because of poor leadership, unfair expectations, and a culture that rewards appearance over real efficiency.
