Pros

I had little professional experience when I started at Vmax. I was provided with a lot of on the job training and support. Due to the smaller size of the company, I was able to and encouraged utilize my skills to pursue various departments of the company. It was an amazing learning experience and I was promoted several times. My Vmax coworkers became like a second family. My direct managers were patient and willing to spend the time to train me and encouraged my career and educational goals.

Cons

Due to my own career goals and the needs of the company I struggled to find work-life/personal-life balance.

Pros

I worked at Vmax Vision as a Regional Sales manager for 1 year. Working for Vmax was the best decision I've made to get a kick-start into the Eye Care industry. As a Regional Sales manager, you're given the responsibilities of managing and training other employees, attending trade shows about once a month, and speaking with optometrists and ophthalmologists on a daily basis. Everyone you work with is friendly, and being that it's a smaller sized company, you become extremely close with your coworkers. It's great. I can speak very highly of the CEO, as he is an extremely knowledgeable figure, who can pretty much train a fly. The rewards and experiences that employees typically encounter at Vmax are motivational and aggressive. I recommend this job to someone who has a strong interest in medical device sales, and looking to develop a strong sales skill set. Like any sales role, this position is what you make of it, and if the industry interests you, you will succeed with Vmax!

Cons

Smaller Company, No Company Car
