Pros
As a Housing Navigator in the SSVF Program you will find this job very rewarding, This is a great position if you love helping people, don't like to be tied to an office, love to travel locally/regionally, like to network with the community and don't mind dealing with veteran (families) from all walks of life.
Cons
Unfortunately this position is grant funded and does not pay well. Intake packets are over 100 pages. All paperwork is still handwritten. Office space is congested. Mileage is well below national average resting at only $.50 per mile. Rules constantly change. High turnover. Get paid once a month.
