Pros
The pay isn't bad (not great either), the work was pretty good as well. It's what you make of it really, customers can be really fun to troubleshoot with.
Cons
Wet your lips, because the only way to get somewhere in this company by placing those moist lips on management's behind. It's important to know that I find that this place is the worst I've ever worked for. The pay isn't that bad, but everything around it is. You have no paid sick days, HR and Finance are constantly screwing payslips up. I've seen people wait for months to get the money they're entitled to and I'm still waiting for some myself. The amount of backdoor politics is the worst I've ever seen. The only way to get ahead in this company is not to be good at your job, but to start a (b)romance with the person that can get you the job. I've seen more qualified people being passed by just because there is someone who is more liked by management. Don't even think about having a critical mindset towards the people up top (this includes middle management), it won't help you and you can forget about growing in the company. On that note, the growth options are poor as well. They've tricked many of us into grandeur promises of challenges and promotions, but it's all a carrot on a stick. The promotions are hardly worth mentioning, but it at least removes some of the yoke of the management off of your back. In a nutshell, if you're intelligent and ambitious, keep looking. If you're keen on kissing behinds and are (partially) incompetent at your job, you'll do just fine here. Just make sure the frustration doesn't get to you.
