Pros
For now, the culture remains strong and supportive between lower management and workers. This company has a ton of talent. Some areas have seen tremendous improvement this year, such as internal knowledge bases (HR comes to mind) and the usage of AI to get workers the answers they need.
Cons
Senior leadership has become a C-suite nepotism situation. Despite fiscal performance trending downward this year, several new SVP positions have been created, and others continue to be shuffled to new positions that appear to be custom-made for them. Exceptional internal candidates have been passed over for external hires. When we talk about career growth, there is no clear trajectory, and generally, after waves of layoffs, we are all thankful just to still have a job and not be arbitrarily cut. HR is truly for the company, not the workers, and does not welcome or even offer feedback channels for anything they do. Many employees view HR as a department as slow, difficult to work with, and intentionally cold.
