Pros
If you want to stay in this business, it looks good on your resume.
Cons
WFAA used to be the gold standard of local TV news. That is no longer the case. The station has not been immune to the problems facing local TV: declining viewership, bias in on-air and editorial decisions, turnover and increasingly inexperienced staff, decreasing pay, lack of morale, and being asked to do more with less. Things look good on the surface, but once the newness wears off the dark cloud of misery that hangs over the newsrooms becomes very apparent. I could go on, but if you work there, you’ll get it in time.
