Pros
Fellow Employees, good benefits if you can afford the with the Lay-down days!
Cons
Waste Management hires you and says that you will be guaranteed to work at the least 45-50 hours a week and most likely more than that. Once they get you in, they start telling you work is slow and give you lay-down days, which means you don't come to work and you don't get paid! They do this to many employees and are giving them at least two days off a week UNPAID, leaving families unable to pay their mortgages and bills! You can't even work somewhere else because they tell you that if they need you last minute at 3:30am then you must come in by 5am, so one is waiting and praying they get called in so they can be able to put food on the table or pay their mortgage because they can't plan to work anywhere else. This company is a DISGRACE, and does not care about their employees! If work is slow and you are a full time employee, they should find something for you to do, not tell you not to come to work and not pay you! This is a Fortune 500 company and they treat their employees like garbage and don't care how their employees will survive and support their families, they just care about profits! Don't leave a good job for Waste Management because you and your family will end up on the streets! I can't believe a giant corporation like Waste Management treats their employees like this and does not care about the lives of the families and children they are affecting!! Business can't be booming everyday and if every employer decided to do this to their employees, half of the states population would be out of work! Disgrace! Disgrace! Disgrace!
