Pros
The people performing the work are dedicated and loyal to the history of WPS and the established mission and values. Looks nice from the outside but is pretty ugly in the inside.
Cons
New upper mgmt hates the history of this company and will do whatever it takes to change. New CEO came in and blinged out his office building and claimed it was for customer appearance, however very few "customers" ever went to his building. 100's of people lost their jobs one week and the next week an announcement came out of the cost and reno details of the new CEO's buildings. Nice subtle touch to show what he values. New CEO and his "hired guns" will stand before you and preach future, family and caring but show zero to to that affect. Cronies ism is so blah-tent. There are multiple business lines and each run and operate independent with from each other. One division is completely managed by fear and favoritism. If you don't work in Omaha you aren't worth their time, but if you do work in Omaha feel free to do whatever you want including over staff and create more and more positions while slicing and dicing position in their other cities. There are no secrets in Omaha each person there believes they are entitled to all information including confidential HR information. This company wins ethics awards but there are many upper mgmt with questionable ethics. There is an obvious distaste for the people who work in the union and in the Madison office. Benefits used to be awesome now they are mediocre at best.
