Pros

Working with the BSA department has been nothing but the best. Here at WAFD, we have the most caring, knowledgeable, hardworking AML Officer and leadership who not only ensures you have home work life balance but does encourage you to learn more and get as much as you can from the department as you can. No limit is to far when it comes to learning within the department as long as you are wanting to learn and grow it can be made possible. A great group of individuals who are willing to help and assist when needed as needed and an Officer and leadership who has a strong knowledge on the BSA/AML industry to help you grow in. I’ve felt the need to post a review as I’ve seen past reviews on this department and AML/CFT leadership that were false and negative as well as needing to touch base on reviews on over worked individuals. With that being said, some of the reviews mentioned that some of the individuals were over worked. Due to the economy and companies tightening their belts, this seems to be a common situation at most financial institutions and is not the fault of the AML/CFT leadership. Lastly, I just felt the need to post this review because I do love my job and working for WAFD bank as I want to pass the positive reviews on this department and leadership as they are extremely great to work for.

Cons

Not enough PTO for working individuals

Pros

Primarily remote work. Decent PTO after the 4th year.

Cons

Limited staffing and limiting overtime opportunities until the bitter end of potentially missing deadlines, which you are guilted into working. 2% "raise" every January and ZERO merit raises. Gutted profit sharing and profitability bonuses over time. Most recent bonus, which is tied to net profit after dividends, was given a result when the scale was never published. All previous bonuses had a floor-to-ceiling profit scale that showed the targets months in advance of the end of the bonus period.
