Pros

Small company environment, flexibility at some level.

Cons

Poor and inconsistent management, your day will depend on the owners mood. Poor product, too long of a sales cycle, very specific and closed market. Huge employee turn over.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to submit feedback. I’m sorry that you didn’t have a great experience while working at Walsh, and I’d like to address your comments. Above all, we care about an individual's fit on our team. If we like someone and they jive well with our company culture, but perhaps not excelling in one position, we will do whatever it takes to see if we can fit them in somewhere else. When that happens, we try it out and if it doesn’t work, then we have no choice but to let them go, no matter how great an individual they are. It is difficult for everyone, and as we are a small group, it really affects everybody. Regarding management, it is unfortunate that you felt that it was poor and inconsistent. As managers, we strive to maintain a balanced and consistent approach with our team, but sometimes we need to adjust and adapt our ways with the changing market trends that affect our business. We’re constantly striving for continuous improvement, every day. Regarding our product – yes, we’ve been involved with healthcare, hospitality, and education for years, and now, with our new platform, we will be hitting new and exciting markets. I hope I’ve addressed your review appropriately. As always, I appreciate your feedback and wish you the best of luck. - Stephen Walsh, President, and Owner

Pros

excellent team could not ask for better people to work with. I had to leave because of personal reasons but things are really improving there. Summer was a bit all over the place but due to some employee engagement activities and workshops, things are much smoother now. It's a happy place. If you're into technology and trying out things that big companies are afraid to try, you should work here. The development team is a good group, mostly senior and all super intelligent.

Cons

As I mentioned above, last summer there were some management shifts and headaches but things seem to be smooth now because of these workshops (specifically going for breakfast with human resources and checking in. That was extremely valuable and thoughtful). I'm sorry to have to leave a great team and super interesting tech, but as I said I had some personal things to take care of.

Pros

I truly enjoyed the team of workers in this small company, work hard, play hard comes to mind. I enjoyed fridays most as this was when the team gets together to take some time and socialize.

Cons

I appreciated my time at Walsh, but am happy it is over: expectations were extremely high, unachieveable in my opinion, which was frustrating. There are only so many hrs in a day to do all that was needed/requested, there were days and weeks I worked 6 days @ 8+ hrs a day, which then became expected and the norm. Ultimately this is the reason I left: no work life balance, and micro managing daily.
