Pros

I guess the pandemic and Zoom culture allows you to see how ridiculous some of the multimillion dollar homes are of the senior most executives in LA + Hamptons? Knowing that they’re rolling in ridiculous stock options and seeing those spoils is a helpful refresher as to why they’re brutalizing you everyday to deliver more subscribers.

Cons

Too many to comprehensively name, but will cite a few. Zero transparency when it comes to results and ongoing ambiguity as to what goals we need to hit. Completely frenetic top down management of the business where senior execs constantly panic about subscriber growth on a day over day basis and everyone beneath them has to deal with their daily fire drills that, ironically, derail actual progress towards meaningful growth. No empowerment of bottoms up ideas. Senior execs of DMED (the parent division of The Walt Disney Company that encompasses streaming) have absolutely no digital marketing or streaming experience, and it shows. Nasty politics between teams. Many leaders lack an ounce of charisma and instead manage through inducing anxiety.

Pros

Free passes to the parks and discount in the stores.

Cons

Management is disorganized, and the workplace culture is consistently challenging. Frequent organizational changes are introduced with little communication or clarity about the path forward, creating uncertainty and frustration. While some teams provide a better experience than others, a toxic environment is prevalent across much of the organization. Rather than investing in employee growth, development, and internal advancement, the culture often feels focused on limiting employees' potential instead of empowering them to succeed.
