Pros

I have been in a sales role with Waratek for a little over a year and have really enjoyed my time here. The leadership team - sales/engineering/customer success/marketing - is fantastic. All of the managers have an open door policy and they are some of the brightest people that I have worked with. Moving from a large company to a start-up had its challenges - instead of immediately being let in the door because of a big name brand, I had to learn how to educate my prospects on Security-as-Code and how it is revolutionary for application security. But, since I have been here, we have completely reworked our messaging and revamped our website which has made the job a lot easier. There is no doubt that working here has helped me refine my skills as a salesperson and grow my career.

Cons

No cons after a year. Security-as-Code is cutting edge technology and I am excited for what the future holds.

Pros

The technology is very interesting and has a lot of promise. The Dublin team is excellent.

Cons

Leadership - or lack thereof (there's no shortage of micromanagement, though). Work/life balance is non-existent in the states. If you're considering employment, do your due diligence and really ask questions. Have contracts in place for employment and your exit. I can only speak to my experience in late 2019, but at that time I was told that the company structure precluded Waratek Americas from having to abide by any EEOC laws or standards, which is important to note for any US based employees.

We appreciate your review and we have made numerous changes since 2019 including but no limited to the following: a new CEO, enhancing benefits for US employees (including 28 day exit protection as our Irish employees have), increasing awareness of US employment laws, and many other items.
