Pros

High level of legal practice. WAP provides the opportunity to engage in the practice of appellate law at a very high level. The expertise contained in the small group of attorneys is invaluable and will advance any attorney's competence in the practice of criminal defense.

Cons

The leadership suffers from "small office syndrome." It is necessary to mimic the likes, dislikes, sports affinities, etc. of the Director. There is a marked lack of diversity of ethnicity, culture, and thought. The Director rewards based on personal likes and dislikes, then creates metrics that will reflect and legitimize that bias. It is a very conservative and conformist environment.
