Friendly Employees, straightforward work, good community! I often finished early and had time to work on my own projects. The mentorship is great!
Cons
Pay is low, outdated fact-checking, dying industry. When working events, there is little structure and direction for setting up. Superiors will often "forget" to give you breaks while they network.
Given the history of magazine, there is limitations on reporting. Most of what you do is puff pieces. Do not expect to write about anything that isn't important to residents of NW DC.
