Professional development is a big joke here, they have invested millions of $s in placing new processes and tooling for it but actually never implemented. Upper management living the dream that all the processes are getting followed but in reality it's a big joke. Almost negligible salary hike, management always ready with an excuse , there is always something for the management like bonuses but nothing for lower level hard working employees who are literally running this company. Team structure is very poor, there are so many managers, leads in one team resulting in less productivity, politics etc. Watercare is solely driven by contractors so it's a bit of hits and misses, some are good but some are really bad, wasting public money. Politics is at all time high within smaller teams, people always ready to pass the blame on others with zero accountiblity. Use of legacy products though spent millions on digital transformation, Ageing workforce, average age is 35+, has so many old people who are happy to work 70s way and don't want to learn new technologies. If you want to have a career progression then you have to just bow down and follow orders from your manager and should be on good books of higher management, employees performance always overlooked.
