Pros
As part of a larger corporation there were many sources for products and services. There were also many opportunities for networking throughout the United States along with many of the benefits such as insurance, retirement and stock purchasing plans within the company.
Cons
The highly regimented reporting structure made it nearly impossible to react to any changes in the marketplace in a timely manner. Atlantic was also in a declining industry and little attempts have been made to expand or make changes to compensate for the loss of the core business.
