excellent working environment - Anonymous employee Wavefront (Vancouver) Employee Review

Working for a company that supports Canadian innovation sounds like a good idea...

Wavefront is not what they appear to be. They say they support innovation but their startup services programs are tired and not competitive (compared with what is out there). They don't have a funding pipeline for startups to support growth (so by definition they aren't actually an accelerator). They take credit for the successes of the companies that have gone through their programs because it helped them get government funding. Not sure if the government sees them as a priority anymore... The startup services team lacks leadership (people quit) and the ones left running it are incapable of growing it. The sales/enterprise team is completely disconnected from the rest of the org. But if you do work for that team, you get a new computer... The leader of that team is sadly inexperienced. Wages aren't competitive. The HR admin team lacks experience and don't align with the values the organization promotes. The work environment is toxic! The management team lacks focus and transparency - none of the staff trust them. If you check out their website you will see the leadership (VPs/C-suite) is sadly old school.

The culture and values here are amazing. You can be passionate in working at your task plus working with other teams.

This company is just financially Unstable. They just filled for bankruptcy so it’s very unfortunate that all the employees were let go unexpectedly.
