- Opportunities to interact with interesting startups and people - Some colleagues are hard-working and just trying to do their best - Efforts put into branding and messaging so the firm's reputation is good

- "Culture" is well-intended but it is actually very political - inauthentic people with personal agendas - Lots of mistrust and fear - Bad allocation of resources - Unreasonable workload - Lack of meritocracy: just need the favor of senior management who is too busy to think about what is best for the firm - Employees and leadership churning frequently - Inexperienced leaders who have been elevated due to churn - Too much has changed for the worse
