Pros

I love working at WayUp. Everyone on the team is ambitious and helps one another like a family would, the founders are smart and passionate, the mission is core to what we do, all of the managers are so dedicated, and the company is growing quickly. I have to disagree with the comments about this company being abnormally "young" (especially in startup terms), though I do think it's impressive how much WayUp gives its "young" people the opportunity to grow and learn more quickly than really any other company I've worked at before.

Cons

As someone on the more senior side of the company, I love working at WayUp because it's a hands-off environment where people can be entrepreneurial and make a huge impact. That being said, junior people (<5 years experience) seem to either love or hate it, given that this is not the kind of place (yet) where someone is going to tell you exactly what to do. Whether you want to call this "chaos" or just "a startup" is perspective. I think most people who have had a bad experience at WayUp were people who didn't like the constant change and lack of perfect structure. (To put the negativity in perspective - there was a contingency of people who were so negative that one admitted to a few employees that she posted twice on Glassdoor.)

Pros

- Company is focused on growth: not just its own metrics, but its employees'. I know a few people who took classes which WayUp paid for; and everyone loves the Lunch and Learns and the weekly all hands (where people show/teach each other what we're working on) etc.... - Everyone here keeps saying this, but again, the people are the best; the smartest employee group I've ever encountered - CEO is inspiring and so smart, and self-aware of what she does and doesnt know (she's young but seems to have lots of mentorship); she works way too much though so hopefully the VPs they're hiring will take things off her plate - Mission is great - I've never felt micromanaged in my job. I think the only people who get micromanaged are the people who aren't right for their job, and they tend to not be around long - Company moves so fast

Cons

- Liz and JJ are currently hiring their Senior Management team, which we all are excited for. Based on the first hire of the three, I'm optimistic about the other two. But in the meantime, the company has gotten to where it is today through mid-level leaders who were learning on the job. This has been a growing pain for everyone at the company, which I think everyone is excited to get past - There were a lot of really bad hiring mistakes made in 2016 that resulted in some not-great people joining (most of them are now gone) and seemingly leaving bad glassdoor reviews lol
