- Great people around you. The overall engineering quality is very good in Waymo. Sharp to understand each other, and good communication to collaborate. - Large amount of projects to choose. Self-driving has large amount of long tail problems to solve, and usually no general solution, could be challenge for any of them. - Solid infrastructure tools to use.
Cons
- Scope maybe limited, large effort may be required to resolve a small set of problem. - Occasionally urgent requirements comes in, distracted between large amount of projects.
