Pros
Big enough to move the industry, yet small enough that an individual can make a real difference here. I've worked at much larger companies where no matter what you do, it's hard to really have an impact. Not true here.
The executive team is visible, engaged, approachable, and sincerely cares about the business and the people that make it happen. The CEO and VP's know the names of most everyone it seems.
Also the CEO and the VP's communicate frequently with the organization through town hall meetings of various kinds, round table meetings, blogs etc. It's great to hear what's going on in different parts of the company, and they make that easy.
Wayne is also a great combination of technology company (software, electronics, and hydraulics) that leads with innovation, but also a strong manufacturing and sales company as well.
Cons
There are a lot of folks that have been at Wayne for a long time. That's both a good and bad thing. It shows it's a great place to work, but also sometimes folks can be resistant to change.
There's a bit too much silo type thinking across functions but I do see that improving.
Also, there's a bit too much passive aggressive behavior with folks saying they're on board or will do something, but then don't actually do it.
