Pros
Semi competitive salary
Didn't have to work directly with public
Able to listen to music quietly.
Able to work independently for the most part.
I was just doing data entry in the back so it was uninteresting but it was extremely easy and kind of fun actually.
Cons
Mean boss
Backbiting from other employees was rewarded
They were judgemental about clothing
Forced awkward socializing on weekends required but unpaid
The nice people left quickly
The mean people who hold grudges remained
Working "too fast" was punished,
They got angry if you finish early and offer to help other people, they act like you're bothering others if you decide to clean the kitchen or take up slack that others had with work. So being forced to work excruciatingly slow because others are slow. (Imagine if you type 95 words a minute but they make fun of you and your clothing and your hair because they're jealous they can't get over 29 words per minute)
They literally complain to me because my sweater sleeves were a tad too short well everybody else's sweater sleeves were literally like a quarter of an inch longer than mine and they said somebody might see my arms (like really dude? three blocks away from us was the beach where people were in bikinis!) when I said that nobody would ever see me if they walked in the office since I worked in the back and you can't even see me from the front door and they said I could find employment elsewhere if I can't wear longer sleeves. And I said okay no problem and the next day the boss came in with a tank top! Super unfair practices and lacking integrity. I do not recommend this place.
I worked here before 2020 but that wasn't an option to choose so maybe the place has changed by now but I'm thinking the owners have been the same owner for the past 40 years
If not my apologies!!
Please take caution and don't listen to my words just find out how long they've owned the place before you judge them because literally could be a new owner.
