Pros
I was texted by WeHire Connect to come in for an interview. When I arrived the manager and HR rep seemed nice and professional. They explained the base pay (about 250/ week for full-time depending on the charity their doing) plus commission per "sale" you make. They claimed I'd be making about $1000/ week working full time and that getting "sales" was easy. It sounded great and after my second interview I got hired. Now here's why this was the biggest time waste of a job I've ever experienced-
Cons
You are working 8 hours a day making about $7/hour base pay. You are cold calling, knocking door to door saying a pitch for whatever charity their doing at that time, 90% of the time you get a no and the door slammed in your face. The odd time you get a yes you spend 20 minutes doing the whole process of getting their info, getting on the phone with the charity, getting them to repeat the info and give their credit card info to the person on the phone. You HAVE to get them to agree to monthly payments (about a min of $20/month) or it doesn't count as a "sale". Working full-time you have to get around 5 "sales" per week or more to earn commission. No big deal right? Well they make sure customers dont cancel or else you don't get commission from that sale. About 3 weeks after the sale you actually get paid for that sale. So if that person cancels, no commission for you. You get paid weekly, the first couple pays you get will only be base pay because of that three week wait. You also don't get paid for the second week you work. They "claim" you get the second weeks worth of pay when you quit/ get fired because it's just to make sure you don't keep anything they provide. When I quit I never saw that money. I have years of experience in sales and commission based sales. You are driving your group around to different cities, if you're the driver you will spend more on gas then you will make. This job is a joke. The manager doesn't even know the name of the company they work for. THE MANAGER. We Hire Connect is just the recruitment agency, not the company. Do yourself a favor and just get a minimum wage job if you're desperate. You'll be making more money than this place. OH and did I mention there's no benefits for fulltime? NONE. They take advantage of their workers, encourage you to lie and manipulate customers to get their donations, everyone there is 18+ but act like total children, they seem nice and very chill at first but nope. Just for show. This company is a scam. I pity the people still working there.
