Pros

Weaviate is a great place to work for someone interested in working with AI and vector databases. We've got a really innovative and collaborative team, where everyone is willing to lend a helping hand. Kindness, excellence, transparency, collaboration, and trust are our core values, and from my experience we actually adhere to these principles. Working with a diverse global team of awesome professionals is genuinely a joy, and makes working here that much more fun. Working remotely is great for flexibility and work-life balance, this doesn’t mean that the work is any less challenging or interesting, instead it requires us to be organised and good at prioritising our work. I would highly recommend to anyone to join the Weaviate family.

Cons

Remote work and managing your work life balance presents distinct challenges. Personally I did not find this not to be a problem, but I can see how some might find this difficult.

Pros

Tons of room to grow, great culture to culminate success. Amazing people to work with, and travel opportunities!

Cons

It is a start up, so you do need to be able to self start and go find the success!

Pros

• Innovative Product & Vision: Weaviate is at the forefront of vector search and semantic technology. It’s genuinely exciting to be part of a company building foundational infrastructure for the future of AI and search. • High-Impact Role: As a Customer Solution Engineer, I get to work directly with forward-thinking customers solving real-world problems. The role is both technical and strategic — it’s a fantastic blend that allows me to stay close to the technology while delivering real value. • Strong Culture & Collaboration: The team is sharp, humble, and supportive. There’s a refreshing lack of ego and a clear sense of shared purpose. Collaboration across teams — from engineering to product to success — is fast and respectful. • Remote-First & Thoughtfully Global: The remote culture is well-executed. Communication is clear and asynchronous when needed, and there’s a healthy respect for different time zones and working styles. • Leadership with Vision & Integrity: Leadership is transparent and engaged. Decisions are explained, and input is welcome. There’s a clear sense that the company is being built for the long term.

Cons

Cons (or rather, Opportunities): • Lots of Room to Grow: As with any fast-moving company, things evolve quickly. For those who are proactive and thrive in dynamic environments, it’s energizing. If you like structure, you’ll have the chance to help build it. • Wearing Many Hats: You’ll often find yourself stepping beyond your job description — but in the best way. It’s a fantastic environment for those who want to grow, stretch their skills, and take ownership.
