Pros

Manufacturing experience, Good Friday is a holiday

Cons

Human Resources Unknowingly signing handbook Pay- did not get a raise in my last 6 years working there Story time ! Both General Mangers Quit, ask us to make our own job descriptions (because they had no idea what we were doing ). I turn in my job description and then find it posted online thru an agency they USE to hire temps. Crazy, after so many years of dedication .. I am paid with this . I ask about the post, it’s deleted instantly and everyone denied validity . I quit, my team quit. In no way was this fair.

Pros

Good entry level experience for cosmetic/manufacturing industry Crucial to work with other departments, which provides further understanding of all parts of the process Great exposure to manufacturing setting Great coworkers made it worth it

Cons

Salary is very low compared to market AVERAGE for key positions Too much workload versus number of employees COVID safety precautions very limited to non-existent (also short lived) Very lean company - not enough employees in each department No leadership/accountability New upper management (~2019) has falling into the same cycle of poor management as previous team No HR practices - very rudimentary. They never get involved in conflict resolution. Also have to double check HR work (missing vacation hours, etc.) Stuck in archaic ways of handling projects, systems, and the current market of color cosmetics Company is stuck in the 1990s when it comes to business/HR practices (as an example, we just got access to ADP online in 2020 but still have to sent in paper requests for time off/sick time) Cost of product too higher which pushes clients away No real benefits No growth opportunity that's worth the years of work needed to get the slightest pay bump No qualification check for hiring (blind leading the blind situation) No process in place for anything which makes projects very difficult to get off the ground Struggling to meet annual goals ($) Out of touch with the customer and the market/trends Quality of product is minimal to sub-standard Numerous customer complaints regarding Regulatory knowledge and product quality overall Always cutting corners No investment into employees or company Employee happiness is not a priority which is proven by how employees are treated by upper management (lawsuit level treatment) Contributions not acknowledged/appreciated Little to no formal training (no handbooks, no orientation, just straight into shadowing others)
