Decent pay but challenging quotas and equipment issues - Compounding Pharmacy Technician Wedgewood Pharmacy Employee Review

Pros

decent pay, multiple chances for overtime which was time and a half. During high volume or holidays overtime was time and half plus an extra amount that was determined by management

Cons

Have to meet a specific quota in 2/3 hour intervals. Sometimes this was difficult if you could not find the medication because a coworker had it or it was out of stock, another problem was having the correct supplies readily available, at the time they were down dishwashers so getting supplies took extra time and you really couldn't work if you didn’t have the right equipment.

Pros

There is real, meaningful progress happening at Wedgewood Chandler. Leadership has introduced a Career Pathing Program that gives employees a clear framework for growth defined role levels, qualification criteria, and individualized development planning. It takes the guesswork out of advancement and gives people something concrete to work toward. Scheduling has also improved significantly. The move to a structured, rotating overtime schedule means employees now have advance visibility into when their overtime falls, making it much easier to plan personal time around work commitments. It reflects a genuine effort to build a healthier balance between operational needs and employee wellbeing. This is a team that is moving in the right direction, and it shows.

Cons

Like any organization in transition, some legacy challenges around workload and communication are still being worked through. Change takes time, and not every process has caught up to the new direction yet. But the trajectory is clearly positive.
