Pros
Benefits, Medical, dental and vision Employee 401 (k) plan matched by employer Time off to care for family members when needed EAP for employees when encountering personal problems
Cons
Favoritism beyond belief, job skills not necessary No advancement for anyone not from Rochester,NY (Corporate HQ), when asked at an open door session how many women were managers from the NJ area, the whole room fell silent, the response, "we don't have those figures with us". No figures, yet the company has been in the state for over 10 years!!! No respect for employees with special skills, seem to want all to fit same pattern with all their employees, yet emphasis (in name only), diversity More concerned with making Fortune's top 100 list and having employees strive for "Superstar" Awards, than to actually get any work out of employees Managers feel entitled to getting their positions, especially if they have been with the company for over 10 plus years. No respect for others who may not want to be managers and only want a job, especially with this economy. Once in a management position, differcult to advance (team leader to manager) without going thru corporate manager training program (designed for the young, not older experienced employees). Personally experienced this and was informed "I could go lateral not vertical".
