Pros

Managers, peers, and colleagues encourage you to increase your skills. If you prove you are worth it, they will do everything you can to protect your job even through hard economic times. On the IT side, culture is fantastic. They build software with a purpose to be self sustaining. This allows better capabilities for a better "work + life" balance. People are genuinely kind.

Cons

Some technology is outdated and better systems could be used. Because of this, processes can be slower than other tech companies. However, you can look at this as an opportunity to become innovative, suggest new technologies, or build something meaningful.
