Pros

Positive Relationships with Residents: One of the notable aspects of working at The Wesleyan was the opportunity to develop meaningful connections with residents and their families. These relationships brought a sense of fulfillment to my work and highlighted the importance of personalized care and attention.

Cons

Challenges with Support and Communication: Throughout my time at The Wesleyan, I observed challenges with feeling valued and supported in the workplace. There were instances where communication breakdowns hindered teamwork and coordination, leading to frustration among staff members. Additionally, decision-making processes often lacked transparency and inclusivity, which impacted morale and cohesion within the team. Accountability Concerns: Another concern I observed during my tenure was a shift in accountability within the organization. It appeared that the company was hesitant to hold certain staff members accountable for their actions, such as breaking rules or displaying inappropriate behavior towards residents or other staff members, due to fear of losing those employees. However, this reluctance to address issues fairly seemed to create a double standard, as less 'essential' staff members were more frequently reprimanded, even in cases where allegations were based on mere accusations or were potentially untrue. This inconsistent application of consequences not only affected staff morale but also raised questions about the company's commitment to maintaining a just and equitable work environment, as well as their approach to due diligence and fairness in investigating claims.
