The “good ol' boys” club extends far beyond discrimination against females. This privation of fairness is manifested with isolation and lack of support when females attain a position above Manager. This sustained culture of patriarchy encompasses men who do not go out drinking, and employees who are not sub structured under the protection of certain departments. The company's obliviousness with FAR 32.6, 22 CFR 213, ADS 625 and limitation of cost/funds has triggered failed performance of ensuring sound financial management and viability of corporate funds. The accounting control systems consist of an outdated ERP system, Excel spreadsheets, and general lack of internal policies. The sexual harassment to some women is disgusting and the refusal to preclude such behavior is extant. The perpetual collapse of this company is also attributed to business development tactics.
Excessive use of external consultants to sanction a strategy; substantiates the lack of skills, knowledge and capability. Hiring outsiders with a “gut-feel” rather than a structured understanding of the requirements of a position and then terminating them, is a diversion tactic of blame to shroud the "good ol boys" inept cognition of the industry. Lulled by “past achievements” and complacency, these actions have driven the last nail in the coffin of a once reputed profitable company.
