Good place to start and learn and make contacts

As stated its a good place to start and learn the industry But i am at the 3 year point and its time to leave the reporting is taking its toll Typical day is start in the morning deal with customer issues and support all day Go home have dinner with the family After dinner sit down and work till around 9 or 10 at night doing all the reporting that you are asked to fill out by your management If you try to do it during the day your clients suffer If you dont get the reports done you get called out on the carpet At first i thought the pay was great until i looked at the total hours i was putting in Now that i have made some contacts i am getting offered jobs making 25 to 50 percent more and able to work normal hours the managers will email you all times of day and night and on weekends asking for information While officially they say its not required to reply right away Unofficially if you do not you better have a good reason Raises are few and far between Have spoken to many long term people and its typical if your lucky to get 1 to 1-1/2 percent a year and during tough times you may get nothing for 3 or 4 years Some have said the best way to get a decent raise is to quit and come back in 6 months or a year They hire new people at market rate but many long term people doing the same jobs are making less than the new hires I myself was hired at more money than a couple of people doing the same job for 5 years or more Seems like they don't value the long term and consider them more like furniture So before i become a piece of furniture and getting my 1 percent a year I am looking at my offers and getting out of here for less work and more money
