You can only get a promotion if you’re friends with the managers. I noticed in the customer service department, all of the team leaders are either related, best friends or in a relationship. It’s impossible to get a promotion if you’re not one of these even if you’re a great candidate. Lack of diversity - the board of directors are predominantly white men, very few women in senior positions and 0 people from ethnic minority backgrounds in any management or director positions. The only people of colour I met at Westfield were in the call centre.
