Pros
Individually colleagues are friendly and competent. Pay is about industry average.
Cons
Hard to know where to start. Draconian HR policies, meant for call centre/warehouse environments, applied to professional software engineers. Incredibly poor pension/benefits compared to the rest of the industry. Obstructionist IT policies, standard tools and websites are routinely blocked. Downloads are blocked. Social media is blocked. Popular streaming services are blocked. Equipment is outdated and unsuitable for development work. The development environment is a significant hindrance to productivity. Project management/execution is chaotic and dysfunctional. Standard industry processes and practices are ignored, no desire to improve because it isn't seen as a problem. Meetings and daily stand ups are too long and often pointless with decisions often not being made and with people communicating irrelevant information. Regular Saturday working.
