Pros

I can't think of any

Cons

This place has no respect for people. It is the most childish, racist, and toxic environment I have ever worked in. They are not open to meeting new people or embracing other cultures, and they create insecurities about your own capabilities by constantly invalidating your knowledge and experience. They hire and fire people based on sales peaks. Once they hit their numbers for the season, employees are suddenly no longer needed. The atmosphere is cold and unwelcoming. People don’t bother getting to know you because they assume you’ll be gone soon. The external HR team handles the dismissals, offering vague explanations like “you don’t fit” or “you don’t understand the brand.” The owner avoids facing the situation entirely. There is zero regard for how these decisions affect people’s lives, and the whole process feels cruel. Working there is like being trapped in a nightmare. You leave with trauma, anxiety, and deep professional insecurities. Please never accept an offer.

Pros

When they are nice, they can be wonderful. But this was sadly proved to be an act.

Cons

My experience working at WHO IS ELIJAH was ultimately one of the most unstable professional environments I’ve encountered. Internally, there was a persistent lack of structure, clear direction, and professional boundaries. Expectations changed frequently without warning, and there was little to no meaningful support from management. Feedback was inconsistent and often unhelpful, making it difficult to perform with any confidence or clarity. A defining issue was a “whiplash” approach to hiring and firing. Leadership would foster a sense of personal closeness very quickly, blurring professional boundaries, only to sever that relationship just as abruptly. Terminations felt sudden, impersonal, and at times strategically distanced- always handled through external HR representatives who had no prior relationship with employees. This removed any sense of accountability, making an already difficult process feel even more transactional and disorienting. There was also a clear pattern of expanding responsibilities well beyond the original scope of the role, without appropriate recognition or compensation. The environment felt reactive and high-pressure, with little regard for sustainability or employee well-being. Perhaps most concerning was the disconnect between the brand’s external image and its internal reality. While WHO IS ELIJAH positions itself as aspirational and values-driven, that culture was not reflected in the employee experience. Overall, I would strongly caution anyone considering a role here. If you value stability, transparency, and professional integrity, this is not the environment in which to expect them.

Pros

None that come to mind

Cons

One of the most toxic work environments I have ever experienced. Poor workplace culture driven by unprofessional management who struggle to handle real-life situations or constructive feedback. Favouritism is common! if you are not part of the inner circle or “influencer-style” group, you are likely to be excluded or eventually pushed out. This trend is visible across multiple Glassdoor reviews. Extremely poor job security and low team morale. Many decisions feel rushed, poorly thought out, and expose significant cracks in how the business is run. The main reason long-term staff remain is due to convenience (shire-based location and easy commute), not job satisfaction or career growth.
