Pros

Witricity was an awesome company. They were a cutting edge technology company striving to break into the wireless charging industry. There were many talented, dedicated, hard-working, driven people who all saw the impact the company was making in the world of electric vehicles.

Cons

6 months ago there was a change in CEO to Joe Benz, and a corresponding erosion to company philosophy and company culture. There was no communication and no direction from the new CEO. All these talented, hard-working employees were working towards meeting their project goals. Last week approximately thirty employees went to work like any other day, to be told they were laid off. No notice was given to these hard-working, dedicated, instrumental people who had been with the company for numerous years. There was nothing professional about the abrupt termination of these employees, or consideration given to their financial well-being.

Pros

Finally weeded out all the slack weighing the company down. Old crew was wrong people in the wrong positions with the wrong attitude. Maybe good people, just not the right fit. Now company is on track.

Cons

Lots of bad reviews from disgruntled former employees who were the problem not the solution.

Pros

Historically possessed an outstanding corporate culture with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and psychological safety. The previous management team established a highly collaborative environment, robust infrastructure, and stable operational workflows. Excellent peer group with deep technical/domain expertise and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving. Solid compensation structure and clear, transparent evaluation metrics prior to the leadership transition.

Cons

The arrival of the new CEO has significantly altered the organizational dynamic, leading to increased bureaucracy and shifting priorities. The previous culture of trust and autonomy is being replaced by top-down decision-making, causing friction within established teams. A noticeable decline in internal morale and an increase in the turnover of key talent due to the sudden strategic realignment. Reduced transparency in communication regarding long-term business directions and restructuring plans.
