Pros

the customers and the coworkers are one in a million

Cons

Wildfang fronts as an inclusive company that is “constantly giving back”, but the reality of Wildfang is a shady & manipulative hierarchy. I felt my sole purpose in the company was squeezing every last dollar out of customers, even they lead you on to believe they offer a much more inclusive and accessible environment. The final straw for me was being informed that Wildfang would be transitioning from donating 1% of profits to charity, to eliminating the donation aspect all together. I was selling $40 poorly made tee shirts, and all the profits went directly back into the corrupt system. From taking on janitorial duties for the higher ups’ office space, to attempting to converse with customers over the laughter of a “snack party” coming from the office space, it was overly apparent that *most of* those with a higher pay grade couldn’t care less about the retail sales staff. Startups are going to have flaws, this is expected. But leaving 6 retail staff employees with no manager or person in charge for 4 months is unacceptable. The core of what upsets me about the Wildfang culture however, is the cis-ness of their higher ups. There is not a single gender variant or trans person above the position of retail staff, yet on the sales floor, trans/enby folk make up almost 50% of the staff. Seems interesting to me that the people who sell the clothes and make the company’s profit are very much catered towards the Wildfang demographic, but the office staff with the higher pay grade is made up of *almost all* white cis people. I love the target Wildfang tried to hit, but I’m sorry to say they missed it by a long shot.

Pros

I've worked for several small companies and this is by far the best one! Here are the Pro's: -The Leadership & management are open to feedback and want to hear what team members have to say. -The company hosts an annual company event, this is an opportunity to get to see everyone and spend 1 week together! There are also several virtual events throughout the year as well! -The people are welcoming, sincere, and genuine. -The company Values are represented in every decision. -Benefits! Health insurance is covered 100% by WF

Cons

Like every company, there is room for improvement. The great thing is that WF leaders are aware of the cons and have been making changes. Lots of processes improvements are happening and new tools are being put in place. Resources are becoming much more available!

Pros

Cool style, that’s about it

Cons

A vacant husk, all dressing no filling, being badass shouldn’t come at the cost of employee wellbeing. Your PR game may be good but what is behind the curtains?
