Gossip, lies, super political. Would hear corporate employees gossiping about on-site employees. Comments on their appearance, whether they are pretty enough, slim enough, the correct race. This is at the TOP. No one is safe. People come and go and if you're fortunate enough to stay or choose to stay you MUST stroke egos and play the game. Simply being a dedicated employee that works hard and is knowledgeable doesn't cut it. You MUST be in with the ones up top or you're just another number. The DFW region is flooded with horrible upper management. There is no real HR Department. They have HR people that hire but you can't go to them with an issue because they work in the same building with upper management and they all hang out together. Conflict of interest? If someone gives notice they will send them home and not let them complete their two weeks. Like it's a cult and if you leave them you're not loyal and must leave immediately.
