Pros
This is a place that has many physical tools and experienced therapists to work with pediatrics and sensory needs. The actual client treatment completed here is amazing.
Cons
Management frequently promotes being “neurodiversity-affirming,” yet their actions often contradict this message. I witnessed deeply inappropriate and demeaning comments made about clients, including statements that were stigmatizing and harmful. Therapists were also subjected to backhanded compliments and a culture of performative niceness that did not align with genuine respect or support.
Professional growth and compensation felt arbitrary at times; raises were reportedly withheld over minor, non-clinical errors (such as spelling), rather than meaningful performance or clinical skill. There were also concerning administrative practices, including requiring therapists to sign a non-compete clause that is not enforceable in the state of Michigan. Additionally, feedback transparency felt limited, with former employee reviews reportedly being removed (including this one).
It’s important to note that this organization employs many talented, compassionate therapists who genuinely care about their clients. Unfortunately, the management culture overshadowed that strength and ultimately made the workplace feel misaligned with the values it publicly claims to uphold
