Fear based atmosphere where employees don’t have a sense of job security (except for the robot kiss up types). - Grocery Clerk WinCo Foods Employee Review

Very low pay. Problems go unsolved for weeks. No room for creatively. It is a punitive work environment and not one where you can grow. If you are good at keeping quiet and can cower while keeping your eyes lowered, this place is for you. I’ve seen some or their awful treatment given to great employees here. They seem to punish the workers who are helpful and friendly while the rude mean workers are let alone. There are a lot of disgruntled angry employees here who are incredibly disrespectful to the customers. I find myself apologizing for their behavior. And the managers seem terrified of making any kind of decision that isn’t listed in the rule book. Before working at Winco I read these posts and thought that it couldn’t be as bad as these folks but I gotta say....it’s bad! What’s up?
