Pros

ESOP Stock Program Good Insurance

Cons

Starting pay rate is terrible! They say their competive but not in my state as you can work at McDonald's and get paid more. All other grocery stores pay more. You have to deal with the rudest customers and WinCo won't have your back. You have to not only do a managers job but everyone else's because we can't keep people because of lack of pay. People need money now not later and even though they have good insurance it doesn't make up for the lack of pay. They all have their clicks to with the managers so if your not part of the click watch your back. Several employees have the store manager and assistant store managers in their phone when their only a cashier. I see text from other employers that the managers send making jokes, saying what's up, etc.. Favoritism is a huge thing at all the WinCos I've worked at. When corporate is in town you have to make sure the place looks extra nice and they will cover up what are store really looks like from day to day to dave their butts. If we left the store how it always looks then maybe corporate would see we need help. All the managers text or call each other when corporates in town and let's each other know what location they are at, when their leaving, and if their close to you. It's all a joke here but no one will stand up and say a word because their to dang scared.

Pros

Great co workers, upbeat, fast paced (makes the time fly by), excellent pay, good work/life balance and the employee insurance package is outstanding

Cons

The point system is notoriously strict. You won’t start at 40 hours per week - hours may vary. Breaks are only ten minutes, barely enough time for a bathroom break
