Pros

The money and ablitily to make a great living is there. It is very rewarding to have happy customers call you and share their excitement about their completed home improvement project. Prior to the company changing ownership, it was really a dream job. It was a lot of fun also to share before/after photos with co-workers and customers. There used to be a real sense of camaraderie.

Cons

When you are new, it can take a couple months to get your pipeline of income to really get going. You will put anywhere between 30-40k of miles on your car a year. It can be expensive to maintain your car until you earn a company car. The hours can be tough as you are working 6 or 7 days a week, there will be a lot of days when you leave home at 7am and get back at 10pm. If you have multiple unhappy customers, it can be stressful helping them as communication between departments is slow and tedious. Also, the goal lines for rewards and progress in this company are written on flowing water. Example, the goal to become a senior rep changed every year until they did away the original system entirely. The office I worked in, not one of the reps made senior rep for the quarter, that includes multiple reps who were already senior reps, which means income loss for at least a quarter or until they can earn the title and benefits back. The metrics, nothing is ever good enough and you have to be almost flawless to achieve what this company wants. In my personal opinion and experience, I have never been so let down by a company and leaving it was difficult. It felt like there was a big exodus of upper management and reps leaving or getting fired. New managers turned the place into a "boiler room" and I have never seen so many of my co-workers go from wanting to make this company their forever home to leaving. I worked there for over four years and when I left, no manager spoke with me or really seemed to care, no exit interviews. I really felt like I had wasted over four years of my life. Hopefully it has changed or will change for the better.

Pros

Great management. Great pay. Excellent training and continued learning opportunities.

Cons

You work when people are home so nights and weekends are a must but not a problem for me.

Pros

Large National company with a broad reach. Marketing machine. This company used to care about their reputation and the quality of their products. Once they were bought out and the goal became profit over quality/accountability - the company quickly lose value.

Cons

Owned by private equity and it shows. Other reviews have stated the lack of leadership at the executive level and staffing issues. New systems without any piloting or testing. Constant moving of the goal posts depending on whichever C level employee is talking. Zero accountability from upper management. No investment in their employees. We used to focus on year to date sales goals. Then it was quarterly. And quickly it went from month goals to day to day goals. Everything is reactionary. Zero training in company SOPs or mentorship. Value all employees have either left for different opportunities or been let go because they spoke up. This is one of those companies where if you have a question, you will need to ask five different people to find the answer until it changes again. Whole asking other people, you’ll begin to find out some of those people are no longer here.
