The term "Drinking the Koolaide" was often used unironicaly referring to getting people to buy more things. I worked in a low income town, so quota was hard to meet, let alone being required to sell 5 emerging products (tablets, phone connects or MBB) Also in order to receive a "bonus" on commission you had to sell 1.5 accessories for every box. (which are impossible to sell at the price they are marked up). Commission and promotions (I was originally hired to on with the anticipation of being Assistant Manager) are often dangled in front of your face to be taken away at the end of the month. Several months not one representative made commission. My store in particular had a complete staff turn around at the beginning of '15, and another almost total turn around at the end of '15.
