Pros
Benefits were good being quasi state.
Cons
The training as a housing voucher specialist is non existent. The “leads” were responsible for training the housing voucher specialist but the least newest specialists were low key training so that they had more hands to assist. The manager had no idea what was going on with the daily ins and outs of the program. She relied on one long time lead to report everything to her. If that lead was having a bad day or decided she didn’t want to work with you, that sealed your fate. The manager stated to one of the last remaining specialist, “it’s hard to hire someone that the lead likes to work with.” The housing voucher specialists are set up to fail. The leads and manager did not have our back. They needed someone to point the finger at or take the fall.
