Everything has changed since Wolseley ended their contract with XPO LOGISTICS, last year around September.
We got tons of good words before Wolseley take over. Everything gonna be the same, nothing will change bla bla bla. Well all of this just lies. November when they took us over and a month later just before Christmas they've made 6 people redundant, some people getting a big payout working within the company for 10-20 years.
7 months later they're short on drivers and calling back the one's who got redundant. How pathetic is this? No respect to others.
They cut back all overtimes.
Wolseley doesn't care for you, bare in mind you will be just a number.
If you make a mistake they will screw you over, making you guilty.
The job is not the hardest but I found it underpaid, multi drop with 3 to 8 stores in different locations.
Some are easy to access, some are impossible and they don't really care to help the driver.
You will have to use FLT as well for unloading and loading which makes you to do two different jobs that's why I think the pay should be better.
No communication at all between the branches and DC.
At the moment people are leaving and they have no drivers. If we bring our friends and family and they spend 12 weeks working there, you will get 1 day of extra holiday. Is this a joke or what? That's a motivation, others offer some money but hey you get holiday instead.
Do yourself a favour and don't bother
