Pros

It's an ok place to learn about the energy industry...

Cons

Revolving door of people leaving (below director level) Terrible pay and very poor salary progression (2-3% per year) Low morale No management structure. A haven for some of the most obnoxious and arrogant individuals you will come across at WM, many of whom are old school and totally backward in the way they approach projects, but get away with treating juniors like dirt due to weak leadership. They would likely be taken down a peg or two if they moved to another company; however, this would require them to leave their little fiefdom and do something meaningful with their careers. Throughput my entire time at WM I never really understood (nor was it ever explained to me) what was in it for me...it was always do more, work harder but with poor pay. Doesn't add up. Management doesn't stand firm on its commitments when offering a position or salary - totally unethical and unprofessional in this regard.

Pros

Appreciated working with smart, driven colleagues; they were truly experts in their fields. The rigorous schedules we were on were strictly maintained, which usually made for a very organized structure and workload.

Cons

Leadership went through many changes and acquisitions while I was there. The mission seemed to keep changing, and it wasn't easy to maintain consistency in our reports with such leadership changes. Market analysts were often pulled onto consulting projects but were not paid as consultants. This is what pushed me to leave.
