Pros

Overall a very good experience both in working and as a student. WPI's work study jobs are exactly what FWS should be: relevant to your major and accommodating for a student's true number one priority: school. Hours were flexible and very accommodating to a downright busy schedule!

Cons

This may have more to do with my hours I had to work more than anything, but for my particular job I felt not a lot happened. I had morning and afternoon classes, thus not a lot of people always showed up in late afternoons and evenings unless big tests loomed on the horizon. On the plus side, I had plenty of time to study for myself on less busy days.

Pros

Can be pretty easy if most of your work is office hours. I had about seven hours a week and most of the time there weren't many students.

Cons

Grading was a lot harder than I expected. Pretty demoralizing honestly; a lot of clearly ChatGPT submissions (ECE programming class mostly with freshmen who'd never seen code before, so not surprising). Grading paper exams was fine.
