Pros

-Decent amount of PTO after you have been at the company for a few years. -Good stepping stone for a year or two for your career. -Some really great people. -Nice Denver office.

Cons

-I've never worked somewhere with more favoritism from the top-down, especially in the Enterprise CS dept. You'll only get promoted if you speak up in meetings and are liked by management. No merit at all involved. Also, there is no transparency in what is required to be promoted/ career progression. If you ask for this, you'll be ridiculed. Other CSMs are somehow promoted to Senior level after being at the company for a short amount of time. The Enterprise team is broken. Long tenured ECSMs are leaving quickly. -Recently, a new director has stepped in who has totally changed the way ECSMs operate. He gave the whole "I'm here to listen and not change things right away" spiel when he first joined the team, but then immediately changed everything for the worse, putting ECSMs in charge of all Workiva solutions, and provided very poor training. -Benefits are severely lacking compared to most tech companies. Most employees live in Iowa, so they think everything offered is great. -No transparency at all. -Constantly receive new customers added to your book of business without any notice from management. Speaking of management- many team managers are hired without any prior management experience.

Pros

Remote work and flexibility Size of company is great - not too big, not too small Great coworkers (aside from the leadership)

Cons

- Horrible psychological work environment. The senior leaders in my department were absolutely terrifying and incredibly nitpicky, rather than encouraging and supportive to their people. - Career growth is a joke at Workiva, and leaders make it clear by their actions (and at times, words) that it's not a priority. I remember sitting on a department call where my VP said, "Growth is not getting a promotion at Workiva," and the context in which she said it made it feel cold, patronizing, and disheartening. Departmental calls were often uncomfortable and totally deflating. - Extremely unrealistic and very subjective standards - No manager accountability - People constantly live in fear, but the work flexibility and "great place to work" facade keep employees stuck in a toxic loop - When they get the slightest whiff of unhappiness, they push you out. I've seen it time and time again (which then creates a toxic fear culture) - Constant gaslighting
