Excellent place to work if you are starting your career. It’s a low volume asset manager with minimal per day trading. Makes a good place to learn and set up foundations to bigger and better banks. Same goes for people in later stages of career, you can relax and enjoy the great perks of being employed here, pick their retirement plans and enjoy.
Cons
Bad place for mid career professionals, the management is rigid, people don’t move out so there is little to none upward mobility. You can initiate great projects with potential, but chances are, your 100% credit will pass on to someone senior just because they were titled project leader. You will see people with analyst titles having experience of 20 years in the same role, you can’t win. The game is rigged there unless you are a big “yes man” And beware if you are a non South Indian native applying for a job in Chennai, you won’t want to fail, but they will fail you regardless.
