Pros
Employee discount is 30%, 20% on food and drink Moderately flexible scheduling You'll rarely be there early in the morning or late at night Can be fun if you're working with your friends Relaxed dress code Company tries to promote diversity and inclusion, at least at the corporate level
Cons
Management is cliquey, will speak poorly of each other and sales associates. Very passive aggressive. Their job is made more difficult by corporate, but they make that your problem. Virtually no training or opportunities for advancement. Raises are nominal. Constantly cuts payroll, making the chronic understaffing worse. Stockroom is at more than capacity, and moving furniture is dangerous. If you're trans or nonbinary, about half the staff will misgender you. The technology is either old or poorly made (especially online order fulfillment/inventory), and makes it difficult to do your job/provide quality customer service. When corporate comes to visit, it's a frenzied rush to make the store look and operate better, instead of accurately representing the day-to-day environment including opportunities for improvement. Management becomes even more stressed and difficult to work under.
