Pros
Airport/airline experience as third-party w/ British Airways. Starting pay is $21/hr. Cross-cultural sensitivity. Ensure accurate completion of passenger documentation such as tickets , boarding passes, custom forms.. Monitor airport security checkpoints to ensure compliance w/ safety regulations. Assist w/ baggage check-in & tagging for passengers. Assist VIPS (celebrities) & boarding crew on plane sometimes. They say they have a point system but it seems that it’s not always followed. Good job if you need PT job especially while in school. Promised full time hours soon around March 2025 which will be assigned 2 flights: 4 hours each flight therefore 8 hours + 1 hour lunch break in between each assigned flight.
Cons
Part time which means only assigned 1 flight. It was said that full time hours availability in March 2025 possibly won’t be permanent. Each flight is about 4 hours each only. Therefore, 16 hours at the maximum will be required to work. Only partial benefits received due to position being part time. No full benefits available. No PTO, sick time off, vacation days, etc. High retention percentage. People come & go due to not receiving enough hours. It’s crazy once you arrive at gate during passenger onboarding process. Reporting lost bags/rush bags is boring.
